and so, my dad has been babbling about how his japanesey bosses has invested in Lehmann brothers for future sucess purposes. trust me, i am the last person you would want to go to, regarding investments and stock markets. well, apparently, what he was trying say was, he thinks its going to be hard to adapt to whatever new system that the few fellow americans will propose. my dad said, quote: "tsk. confirm the in-charge of every department will die. they're going to change to a whole new system, cut manpower and therefore, the few of us are going to multitask. they even said, our present system is very old-fashioned. i do not know how i'm going to survive with their bloody erratic treatment". and, he added a few more profanities which i do not wish to disclose to avoid unecessary judgements.

easy for me to have that speech bubble in my head, saying; "we have to fight for our country's rights, papa. try putting them in your place even though they're way up the corporate ladder earning gold bars, do you think they will survive with all the workload that you do daily? i don't think so. now, turn the tables the other way round. if you were to be in their places, you stand a chance to survive. because, you would actually know what needs to be done and would work your way up a gazillion times harder than them", when in reality, if he was to say everything i just conjured up, he would be fired and i'll be the one supporting the family.

this will be the perspective of an average singaporean in 5 short years to come when; you don't think of your citizens, use their income tax on rubbish like, orchard's ion fancy multi-colored lighting or the singapore flyer when, you can start investing on solar panels as a role model or maybe start celebrating racial harmony day outside secondary school, by having an off day for everyone with a gargantuous happy fiesta.

for 21 years of my life, i have been neutral and loved people. i don't hate the chinese. i don't hate the indians. i don't hate anyone. i am just not happy because nobody is working together to make our short-lived reality a nice place to live in. everybody's so status and money-crazed. what happened to singapore being multi-cultured? is it only a lie for us to believe within our own border when the whole world thinks singapore is china? do half of us, working adults who has departed from our tertiary life even remember our pledge other than the national day?

it starts with the government and i want my happy country, back. where, our GRCs are awarded accolades for their good deeds, making change for the citizens lives. where, our government invests in more talent-friendly schools that will really help the broke but talented children and show them to the world, proudly. where, knowledge is free to upgrade oneself despite the age range.

i am just dreaming.

but ,

i am still fighting for everyone's Singapore.

my dreams of becoming a journalist has never burned more fiercely with these issues as barriers. not obama, not oprah, not the movie "milk", not religion, not hate and definitely, not because of twilight. but because of the love of my family, my boyfriend, my friends, my colleagues, my bosses, and all those whom i have yet to meet but already loved.

with love and knowledge, any hell hole would be a better place.

*a cheek hollowing smoke drag*

i don't care much if ronaldo was to party with paris hilton in acoordance to his transfer to real madrid,(he already has a reputation of a man whore, anyways) what bothers me is that the 2 man celebrities that i absolutely head-under-thighs-would-die-for(okay,that's enough); namely: Adam Levine and Robert Pattinson are dating girls that they are not even sure about. well, of course, as long as their happy i am, but, Cameron Diaz and Kristin Stewart?

oh, come on.

with this, i'm never going to be shock when Tyra Banks starts to date people like, that matrep rapper guy, Lil Wayne or R.Kelly.
