being too safe is BORING.

how cute can these irritating characters be?my favorites, stitch and curious george. urgh..i feel like squeezing them.and yes,i have a soft spot for irritating, loveable cartoon characters.
i love odd looking ones actually.what does that say about me?hmm..=)
and, talking about cute boys.the other day i was watching MTV and i saw a video clip from a new boy band named,NLT(for the first time, looks like the brunettes are the leaders.go brunettes!).the song was titled,Karma.truthfully,to me(i apologise to all NLT fans),the boys in that band, aren't that cute.ok, i'm sorry.if i was doing a comedy stand-up onstage right now,i'll probably hear jeers all around me.but, did you see the way they danced?look, even if they had a choreographer..they're definitely natural.not that bad at all. i guess its true that, performers born from the 80's onwards are hell of a great dancers.
moving on to another subject.
have you watched what has been on Channel 5 lately?NOTHING other than the overrated, but the sometimes addictive drama series all imported from America.(yes,America is currently the Mecca of everything.)have you ever questioned just what is our production team over at Mediacorp doing?instead of trying to influence all our viewers to have Westernised perspectives(e.g beautiful apartments, costly cars, gorgeous men and women),why don't they try to make a good change in Singapore?yes,i do not doubt that it is a necessity to have each race's own channels so we'd all enjoy our own variety shows at the comfort of our own languages and in private,in our homes.but then again, insert the word,multi-racial.how multi-racial are we anymore?remove all your preconceived notions on me when i'm touching on this sensitive subject.
this is important.if we aren't the ones trying to hold together, parts and pieces of Singapore, who else?its not like you see the different celebrities from different channels working together now and then.(Showdown is an entertainment show which brings you closer to your celebrities.right.).why not make Singapore multi-racial again?be as one.now, tell me the truth...have you really seen any talk shows on Channel 5,trying to actually solve an everyday problem that might be affecting the society?a talk show which discovers the number of Singaporean men who actually goes to Geylang and how this is affecting us?a talk show which shows which race is currently doing bad in the society and actually, came out with a solution to specifically help that race?i say no to all 3 of my questions.
an idea just popped to me just now, then came all the other details,so that's why i am blabbering about this right now.
i was thinking, wouldn't it be refreshing to have,Najip Ali,Gurmit Singh, Adrian Pang and Vernetta Lopez as hosts of a talk show?i bet all of you have seen them on television or heard them on radio.if you haven't,go check for yourselves how opinionated they can be.my personal favourite would be Vernetta. imagine that and they'll be having Suria, Channel 8 and Vasatham artistes to talk about everyday or even better, taboo problems and have their say on it.of course,it is not guaranteed that Singapore will be a better place with a talkshow like that...but the least it can do is,open up our minds, the way we will have a better sense of communication with each other and rekindle again why is it meaningful to be a Singaporean, despite all the other crazy things that are bothering us now as a citizen(eg. ERP, increasing price of rice, taxi rates and public transports).
question yourself,do you find yourself complaining being a Singapore citizen nowadays?
